Compaction and Baling of Waste

We have promoted the use of compaction equipment since we were formed in 1993.  Compacting waste reduces the number of trips required which saves both fuel costs and carbon footprint.

Compactors are used for green waste, cardboard, residual waste and other recyclates where the volumes and site layouts allow.   The benefits of compactors include:

Reduced carbon footprint - increased payloads, less miles per tonne.

Secure overnight storage - the compactors are shut down with the ram inside the container or the hopper doors can be locked to prevent access.

More hygienic – sealed containers stops access by rodents.

Less space – improves segregation and allows more waste streams to be recycled .

Significantly reduces the amount of vehicle movements on site.
