Equality and Diversity - Working with Us

Our Policy

Environmental Waste Controls is committed to the principle of Equal Opportunities in Employment. It believes that this strong foundation will maximise human potential throughout the organisation and those different ideas, beliefs and cultural traditions can only add value to our company.

Environmental Waste Controls opposes any form of less favourable treatment being accorded to employees or job applicants on the grounds of any of the following:

  • gender
  • reassignment of gender or sexual orientation
  • race
  • ethnic or national origin
  • marital status
  • colour
  • age
  • religion or political conviction
  • membership or non-membership of a trade union
  • disability, or
  • association with any of these.

Each and every individual within the organisation is responsible for ensuring that the spirit of Equal Opportunity is fostered.

Where possible, recruitment processes are designed to reach eligible candidates from minority groups, encourage applications from suitable candidates and with the aim of ensuring that the selection process followed is based on the ability of the individual to perform the job.

All staff will be made aware of the Equal Opportunities Policy as part of the induction process.  No employee shall receive more or less favourable access to training or development because of any of the factors listed above.

Environmental Waste Controls actively opposes the harassment or victimisation of any employee on the grounds set out above.  The Environmental Waste Control Dignity at Work policy also supports this.
